  • Scripture

    1 Corinthians 2:4-5 NRSV

My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.

  • Devotion

    Trust in God’s Wisdom

My belief in Jesus Christ as my savior never wavers, but sometimes my faith in His power is challenged by doubt that He can handle my problems better than I can! After all, hasn't He given me the ability to make decisions on my own? Satan loves it when we rationalize with our "human wisdom!" It gives him a little room to make that doubt bigger. In Mark 9:24, the boy's father says, "I do believe; help my unbelief!" And in Matthew 17:20 our Father assures us that even faith as small as a mustard seed can move a mountain!

Our God does not expect us to solve all our problems alone. All we need to do is bring our concerns to Him and rest in His almighty power because He loves us! He told us so! ~Kay Poss~

  • Reflection

Heavenly Father, Thank You that we don't have to rely on our own wisdom but can come to You in prayer and be comforted through Your mighty power and unending love for us, even when we struggle to let go of our own self-reliance. Amen
