Grace UMC Kids Club is a part of our Children’s Ministry and Missions of Grace UMC. Our goal is to provide a safe, Christian environment for elementary aged children between the hours of 2pm until 5:30pm. 
  • Grace UMC Kids Club follows the Aiken County Public Schools School Calendar
  • Daily hours are from school dismissal until 5:30pm
  • Bus transportation is available for children attending NAES and HHES
  • Enrolls a total of 29 children
  • Is open to Grace UMC members and the community
  • Has daily activities to include gym time, homework time, arts & crafts, classroom play time, bible study and mission projects
  • Kids Club is located in the Family Center building

All summer camps will have a daily schedule that includes classroom activity time, AM/PM snacks (we provide), 1-hour lunch (you provide), specialty leader time*, and open gym time.

*Specialty Leader time by the week includes:

June 11 – June 15th:  theme is Camp Olympia – Be an Olympian for God’s creatures, big or small!  Kids will spend their week creating animal masks and hats, getting a visit from Therapy dogs, exploring for animal sightings at the Living History Park, running a fundraiser to raise money to buy pet food to donate to the Friends of North Augusta Animals group, and will also be getting a visit from the Animal Man and his live pets.

June 25 – June 29:  theme is Superheroes – Children will explore the Superheroes of the Bible and focus on the Fruits of the Spirit words.  Kids will spend their week exploring their talents and working on service projects for shut-ins, police officers, children’s hospital, fire fighters and homeless people.  Service projects will include putting together gift bags, making arts & crafts, and having community superheroes visit.

July 9 – July 13:  theme is Science and Cooking – Children will have fun while they learn about Science through hands-on activities and object lessons.  Kids will also spend their week learning how to cook by using measurements to mix and create fun kid-friendly snacks.  Kids will have their own chef hat, apron and measuring spoons.

July 16 – July 20:  theme is Arts & Crafts and Sewing – Children will work on painting a landscape, painting terra cotta planters, create bird feeders and paint bird houses, create a fairy garden, and a wind chime!  Summer is in the air!  Children will also spend their week sewing (kid friendly needles) with felt fabric and creating pillows, bags, wallets, etc.

July 23 – July 27:  theme is Soccer and Arts & Crafts – Children will have a choice to participate in either soccer or arts & crafts.  Soccer will consist of learning how to run, pass and kick the ball through drills.  A short game will be played indoors.  Arts & crafts will consist of painting with acrylics, painting with watercolors, using oil pastel crayons to create a painting, rock painting with oil pastels, and creating with chalk art.

Aug 6 – Aug 10:  theme is Music around Grace and Field Days – Children will spend their week learning hands-on about the different music programs around Grace!  This includes, Jazzercise, Children’s Choir, Worship Music, dance movement and exploring several different musical instruments in small groups.  Children will also be able to burn off their energy with indoor/outdoor field days.
