YOUTH MINISTRY DEPENDS ON ADULT LEADERSHIP!

The youth programs are ready to grow and improve as you, the family of Grace, bring the gifts of your ideas, talents, love, and service to our youth!

Sunday School leadership team:
We use the team approach, so that while all team members attend and participate as often as possible, the respon-sibility for planning and presenting lessons is shared. Non-teaching team members might send birthday cards, track attendance, coordinate service projects and special activities, arrange for refreshments, and help teachers with activities relating to lessons. This team approach allows members to schedule around family trips and other commitments.

Confirmation class mentor:
Being a mentor to one of our confirmands involves supporting them as they move through the confirmation process by sharing insights, struggles, and victories that you have faced in your personal faith journey. This is a special opportunity to build a relationship with one of our Youth. If you are invited to be a mentor, please accept!

Secret pal:
This program is intended to express the love of the church in a personal way to each of our graduating seniors. Volunteers are asked to be in contact with a specific youth during the school year. In the spring, graduating seniors host a breakfast to meet and honor their Secret Pals.

Snack Supper Volunteer:
Volunteers are on a team to serve snack supper at 6:00 on Sunday night. Eight teams rotate September through May.

UMYF counselor:
Volunteers attend weekly meetings, assist in planning and implementing programs and activities, and chaperone special activities and trips.

ROCK Star (missions) volunteer:
Provide adult support for a team that will serve 2 or 3 times a year visiting the homebound, volunteering at CMONA or supporting Mission Workday. Missions workday co-ordinator is Ray Griffin.

Basketball coach: Coaches are needed for mid-high & senior-high boys and girls.
