CDC Mission:

 

The mission of Grace Child Development Center is to provide children the opportunity to grow emotionally, spiritually, physically, and academically through activities which strengthen their minds, bodies, and love of God.

 

About Us:

 

Grace CDC is part of Grace United Methodist Church, located at 639 Georgia Avenue, North Augusta, SC. Grace UMC is located in downtown North Augusta. The Child Development Center is located on the lower floor of the Asbury Building, which is the building across from the beautiful playground visible from Georgia Avenue. To access the CDC, please use the side doors entering the Asbury Building from the parking lot.

Grace Child Development Center started over thirty five years ago, beginning with a Children's Day Out Program, then expanding to include preschool and kindergarten classes. The CDC enrolls over 150 students from the community ranging in age from infants through five year-olds. The small size of the school helps provide a warm, nurturing environment for young children.

Grace CDC continues to offer Children's Day Out classes for infants through two year-olds, and preschool and kindergarten classes for three to five year-olds. Additional programs include Lunch Bunch and Early Care for preschool children, as well as Summer CDO for infants through 5K.

Openings:

We still have some openings in most age levels, from infants through 5K.  We welcome new students throughout the year!   A completed registration form and registration fee are required to be registered.  Registration forms are available below.  Please contact Dana Lykins at 803-279-7528 for more information or to arrange a school tour. 


'13-'14 School Year Registration

We are currently registering for the '13-'14 school year, which begins in September.  If you are interested in your child being enrolled next school year, please contact us or complete the registration form (below) and mail with the registration fee.  

CDC Programs:

 

Children's Day Out

Grace CDC offers Children's Day Out for infants through two year olds. During the regular school year, classes are held Mondays and Thursdays for infants, toddlers, younger 2s, and older 2s. Additional classes are held on only Wednesdays for toddlers and 2s. Each class has two teachers in the classroom, and each age group has class size limits.

 

Preschool

Grace CDC has preschool classes for Young 3s (those 2 1/2 by Sept. 1st), 3K, 4K, and 5K. All classes are held 9:00 - 12:00. Class sizes are limited and each class (3K - 5K) is taught by a degreed teacher with a paraprofessional in each room.


Lunch Bunch and Early Care

Grace CDC also offers Lunch Bunch and Early Care for 3K - 5K children. Lunch Bunch allows children to stay from 12:00 - 1:00 (12:30 - 1:00 for 5K) to eat lunch with their friends and play on the playground. Early Care allows parents to drop off children in 3K - 5K beginning at 8:00.
 

 

Summer CDO

Grace CDC offers Summer Children's Day Out for infants through those who have completed 5K. Summer CDO is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 - 1. The fee is $15/day, payable when you drop off your child. Age appropriate activities are planned for each class, with daily music, craft, and stories & game classes for all children entering 3K through completed 5K. This is a drop-in program; no registration is required. Please send a lunch with your child; a snack will be provided.  Registration forms for new students are available below or at the school - please use the Children's Day Out registration form.
