WINGS(Wednesday Inspiration Nights at Grace)

Delicious meals are prepared each week by our Kitchen Manager, Pam Rawlinson, and cook, Rodney Rawlinson, plus their wonderful group of volunteers. Serving begins at 5:30 p.m. Reservations are required. Sign up in Sunday School, call the church office by noon on the Tuesday before, or fill out reservation cards located in church pews.

Inspirational programs begin at 6:15 p.m. and include the following:

 For Adults:

Minister’s Bible Study

The Senior and/or Associate Minister offer various bible studies on Wednesday nights.

GIFTS (Gathering in Fellowship to Share)

Members teach and mentor anyone interested in crocheting, knitting, or sewing. Donated supplies provide beginners with necessary tools to get started on projects which contribute to GIFTS missions as well as the annual bazaar. New members are always welcome. Meetings are just one hour long and are held in the Seekers classroom.

For Children:

Join us for Bible studies and activities each week in the Children’s Wing of the Asbury Building:

  • 3rd-5th grade led by Kay Poss in the 5th grade classroom
  • 4k-2nd grade led by Allison Outlaw in the 4th grade classroom
  • Children’s guitar classes led by David Lusk & Beverly Blevins

Thurmond Lake Recreational Facility

Recreation and play forms an important part of ministering to the total person. The very word itself means to “RE-CREATE” that with which God has blessed us. Keeping that in mind, Grace Church has twenty-one acres of land on Thurmond Lake available for our members’ use. The facilities include a lodge with kitchen, a bathhouse, areas for tent camping, a swimming area with beach, picnic areas, and a boat landing. For a nominal fee, keys are available from the church office. Please call the church office for more information.

Wild Game Dinner and Silent Auction

This fundraiser benefits the Leisure Ministries of Grace and occurs in February each year. Join us for a variety of tasty and unusual wild game dishes, silent auction, and foot stomping blue grass music by Doug and the Henrys.

This all church retreat is for family units of one or more. Join the growing numbers who make this retreat an annual tradition for their family. This retreat is designed to help participants get away from life’s everyday distractions and to open windows of opportunity to receive God’s grace in their lives. The goals of the weekend are simple: to have fun, grow spiritually, draw closer to ones you love, and to develop new relationships with members of your church family.

Windows is held each year at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, Georgia, which is just a 90 minute drive west on I-20.  Enjoy beautiful lakes, hiking and bike trails, canoes and paddle boating, archery, putt-putt, a rock-climbing wall, zip line, gym for basketball, rocking chairs and more.

Retreat leader will be announced. The dates for this year’s retreat is Feb. 12-14, 2016. Worship leader will be Grace’s own Dr. John M. Newell.
